Rico Weber (b. 1942 Hinwil, Switzerland, d. 2004 Bern, Switzerland). Consumed with an idea of trans-lating photography into three dimensions, his reliefs range from the compositional to the rendered. Psy-chologically charged, the pieces are universal, yet full of occult and rural Swiss references that embed the works with a presence of place, permanence and dislocation. His recent exhibitions took place at Espace Jean Tinguely Niki de Saint Phalle, Fribourg; Bernheim, Zurich; MAMCO Geneva and PALP Festival, Sion.
