Born 1942, Hinwil, Switzerland. Died 2004, Bern, Switzerland.

Consumed with an idea of translating photography into three dimensions, the reliefs of Rico Weber (1942-2004) range from the compositional to the rendered. Psychologically charged, the pieces are universal, yet full of occult and rural Swiss references that embed the works with a presence of place, permanence and dislocation.

His recent solo shows include Une idée de la réalité at Espace Jean Tinguely Niki de Saint Phalle, Fribourg (2023); Silver Dust at Bernheim, Zurich (2020); and Colors on Speed at Bernheim, Zurich (2018).
